Modern slavery covers eight types of serious exploitation:

trafficking in persons
slavery
servitude
forced marriage
forced labour
debt bondage
deceptive recruiting for labour or services
worst forms of child labour – for example, where children are subjected to slavery or similar practices or engaged in hazardous work.

We’re committed to playing our role in reducing the prevalence of modern slavery and rejecting any activities that may cause or contribute to modern slavery.

While we believe there is no significant risk our operations would cause instances of modern slavery, our culture that is underpinned by our policies and practices, is an essential mitigant against the risk that our operations contribute to, or are directly linked to modern slavery practices. For our people, we promote a culture of acting lawfully, ethically, and responsibly.

We are now in the sixth year of our modern slavery compliance program. We continue to make progress each year, embedding a risk management framework and taking further steps to combat the risks of modern slavery in our operations and supply chains.

In CY2023, we:

identified, assessed, addressed and mitigated modern slavery risk with a greater number of suppliers
commenced a new process - re-issuance of supplier assessments for updated supplier risk ratings
continued to explore deeper into our supply chains through supplier extended due diligence reviews.

As our approach continues to mature, we’re looking to further integrate our approach into broader sustainability initiatives and continuously improve our processes and supplier engagements.
