The Bellarine Peninsula is made up of a number of coastal towns which are continuing to grow in development and size.
As a result of strong growth in these areas and increased demand for gas supply, the towns of St. Leonards and Point Lonsdale at the edge of our network have been experiencing more low supply pressure events and gas outages.
We’re expanding the gas network in the eastern parts of Geelong, extending the existing transmission pipeline by around 50m and replacing the existing Field Regulator – an underground facility that regulates pressure in the network. These upgrades will resolve the drop in pressure in this area.
