What are we doing?
Along with our trusted delivery partner, Zinfra Power Services, we will remove four redundant aircraft warning marker balls from the overhead transmission lines next to the Bolte Bridge.
These aircraft warning markers are now 27 years old and can pose a safety risk due to their age.
We are removing them for the ongoing safety of motorists and the community.
Disruptions to your travel
On Sunday 5 May, between 6:00am - 11:00am, CityLink will be closed in both directions between Footscray Road and the West Gate Freeway. This includes the Bolte Bridge.
During the works
We understand there is never a good time to experience disruptions and we apologise for the inconvenience. There will be detours in place during the works to safely guide you through the area. Please allow extra time for your travels.
As always, we will ensure that emergency vehicles and access are a priority.
