Overview
We've been engaged by Tilt Renewables to connect the La Trobe Valley BESS (LVBESS) to the electricity grid. We will design, build, own and operate the transmission assets that will connect the LVBESS to the grid. Once connected, the LVBESS will have a total capacity of 100MW/200MWh.
The LVBESS includes the following components:
- The Northern BESS (total of 1050 MW output)
- Morwell Terminal Station works to connect the BESS to the transmission system:
- Building a new bay in the existing Morwell Terminal Station (MWTS)
- Installing electrical infrastructure, including a 66kV/120MVa transformer
- Installing a 33kV underground cable.
