Salt Creek Wind Farm

AusNet Services has completed a new transmission line for the 54 MW Salt Creek Wind Farm project in western Victoria. The transmission line connects the wind farm to the Terang Terminal Station via 50.5km of 66kV powerline. The project was put into service on Monday, June 4th 2018.

 

 

Overview

The wind farm is expected to produce on average 172 GWh per annum, producing sufficient energy to power around 30,000 homes.

Construction began in September 2017 following an extensive period of collaborative planning and design between AusNet Services and Tilt Renewables, in conjunction with industry and state planning bodies.
