Energy for the Regions Program

In partnership with Regional Development Victoria (RDV), we're committed to extending out natural gas networks to four key regional communities - Huntly, Avoca, Bannockburn and Winchelse.

Connections in Huntly were completed in June 2014, and we're continuing with installations in Winchelsea, Avoca and Bannockburn.

Project overview

Our agreement with RDV forms part of the wider initiative, known as they Energy for the Regions program. Under this program, the Victorian Government will invest $100 million to explore the viability of connecting natural gas to regional areas via existing underground networks, and in other non-traditional ways.
