We’ve listened to your feedback and we’re working hard to streamline our processes! On 27 February 2020 AusNet Services changed the way you apply for and register solar, batteries and other generation. These changes also ensure we are aligned with AEMO’s new DER Register requirements.
The Australian Energy Market Operator (AEMO) is now managing a national register of distributed energy resources, known as the DER Register. The DER Register will give network businesses and AEMO visibility of where DER are connected to help in planning and operating the network as it transforms. Knowing the locations and specifications of all DER connected to the electricity grid is critical for sustaining a secure and reliable electricity supply for all Australians.
