We're upgrading smart meters

Our field crew are out replacing communications card in your smart meter with a new card. 

The new card will provide faster data sharing. This improves how we communicate with your meter and reduce the need for future visits.


How will we be upgrading?

We don’t need to turn your power off, and you won’t lose electricity supply to your property. The task will take less than 15 minutes to complete, and there is no need for you to be there. 

We need safe and unrestricted access to the electricity meter. Please make sure there is clear and safe access to your electricity meter.


What are the benefits?

Our communications to your electricity meter will be faster. 

  • This will deliver more efficient energy data to your retailer for easier billing; and,
  • Less need to manually read your meter. 

These improvements will allow us to find and fix potential faults faster.
