Our Apprentice Program Intake for 2019 has now closed

We’re passionate about building a diverse and inclusive workforce of talented women and men looking to shape the energy future of Australian communities. 

The 2019 program intake offered a total of 11 Apprentice Lineworker positions in regional Victoria – Bairnsdale, Leogantha, Sale, Seymour and Wodonga.

  • Eight positions to female applicants under our Apprentice Lineworker for Women Program.
  • Three positions to all applicants under our Apprentice Lineworker Program.

Apprentice Lineworker for Women Program

The Apprentice Lineworker for Women Program is suitable for talented women of all ages who are as determined as we are to build successful careers for females in traditionally male-dominated roles.

Apprentice Lineworker Program

The Apprentice Lineworker Program is for talented people of all ages who are seeking to establish their career in the energy industry.

Being in the energy industry right at the moment is the opportunity of a lifetime. As Victoria’s biggest energy distributor, we serve our communities by managing the constantly changing energy supply chain safely, reliably and efficiently – not just today, but for tomorrow. Who can apply?

We are seeking motivated, confident, energetic applicants of all ages who are technically minded, into straight-talk, have a can-do attitude and are happy to get their hands dirty and comfortable working outside. If that’s you, you could be part of a team responsible for running safe, reliable and efficient networks for our communities.

To be considered, you would have:

  • A safety orientated attitude and need to be willing to work at heights
  • Successfully completed year 11 maths (or equivalent)
  • A manual driver’s license (or willing to obtain one as soon as possible)

Applicants will be required to complete a police history check and functional medical assessment which includes testing for drugs and alcohol to help us protect your safety and the safety of future colleagues. Shortlisted applicants will be expected to complete both online and in-person testing.
